Hello everyone, maybe the following is useful for those who are learning the subjunctive now like me. Most of the resources I see online about the subjunctive mode revolve around WEIRD triggers, but I noticed in books in Spanish / it shows that the subjunctive is used A LOT even when there is no "trigger phrase" like * I hope * and even when there is no doubt / uncertainty involved. I came across the article below and, basically, it has been a completely new way of looking at the subjunctive mood for me (and it helped me discover why some "triggers" work the way they do). Essentially, the subjunctive can (also) be used each time the speaker feels that the information transmitted is known by all parties, or for some reason feels that it is not important (the subjunctive dismisses one part of the sentence to highlight the other most important) parts). If anyone has any advice that helped him learn the subjunctive better, feel free to share it.
