I was looking for examples of ‘complaining’ in SpanishDict and these two sentences confused me:

1. “Let the unions come and complain, and the industry,” which translates as “The unions will have something to say just like the industry.”

2. “Well, it would serve to complain! It’s something” that translates as “complaining doesn’t have to do good, it just feels good!”

What is the meaning of “let them come” in the first? Shouldn’t it be “Unions will have something to say”?

And for the second sentence when I put it in another translator translated “Well, that’s something to complain about!” What does ‘serve’ and ‘is already something’ mean?

Thank you
