olbn benos welcome back to real fast Spanish in this video you're going to learn 25 of the most common everyday Spanish phrases for conversation now the phrases in today's video are important because I came up with this list by going through a set of data that ranks phrases in Spanish by frequency now I had to take some time to filter out combinations like nlk or E nla because even though these occur frequently in Spanish they aren't phrases that mean something when they come together they depend on the words around them to make sense so I had to remove these from the list in contrast one of the most frequent three-word phrases in Spanish that I found and today's first example is Doo elmundo now this means literally all the world but the best translation to English would be everybody or everyone so for example everyone is going to the party Everyone likes Mexican food and literally we're saying Mexican food is pleasing to everybody or all of the world that's why we have that ah at the start but if this is confusing for you check out our video on verbs like gustar now the next phrase is the number one most frequently occurring three-word phrase that I found and it's there which means through throughout via by means of or across so for example I have learned a lot throughout the years I love how through fashion we send messages the next phrase is which means from as of or starting at so for example from now on I'm going to do exercise every day starting tomorrow we'll all meditate from [Applause] [Music] there the next phrase is which means despite or in spite of so despite the rain my whole family came to watch the game despite the difficulty all of the students completed the homework the next phrase is which is similar to it can also mean throughout or along or even lengthways so trees were planted along the [Music] highway the recipe says cut the carrots in half [Music] lengthwise the next most common phrase that I found is La which means most of or the majority so for example most of the P has already been eaten most of the music at the party was regon the next phrase is L which means at least for example we should at least give it one more try foros well let's see if at least I'm good for something next we have which means for the first time for example for the first time in years I feel really happy I remember when I tried coffee for the first time the next phrase is which means at the same time now I cannot sing and play guitar at the same [Music] time at the same time you cook you can listen to music now before we jump into the next few phrases I just want to let you know that I've put together a free downloadable PDF with all of the phrases from this video plus more examples to help you get to know these phrases better I'll provide a link to the PDF at the end of the video the next most frequent phrase is Ane momento and another phrase that was only a few places low on the list was an momento so they're very close in terms of frequency now both of these would translate to at this moment or at that moment an example I'm busy at the moment but I can help you later at that time I was working in a baker the next phrase is one of my all-time favorite phrases in Spanish and it's Al now I love this phrase because not only does it occur frequently but it means perhaps or maybe and the beauty of Alor is that we don't need the subjunctive with it so for example perhaps we will watch a movie another example perhaps it will rain tomorrow and we have to cancel the concert next we have which can mean the rest of or or remaining so you might find this in a recipe or something for example in a large bowl mix the remaining ingredients en quen the rest of the guests are arriving by train the next phrase is which means therefore so for example it's really hot today therefore we're going to the pool we want to arrive on time therefore we need to take a taxi the next phrase which means at the time during or even just at with times a day so for example at lunchtime I always eat fruit I always wake up at sunrise to make the most of the day the next phrase which means generally or usually so for example if the package is small it usually arrives the next day I usually prefer to get up late on weekends the next phrase or elist in general which means point of view so from the customers point of view the service was excellent we need to understand the other point of view the next phrase is which means a couple of so for example I'm going to wait here for a couple of hours I have made a couple of calls the next two phrases were close in terms of frequency and they are nug and N which can both mean instead of so you can think about it like this anytime we would say in English the phrase instead of we can use these interchangeably in Spanish so for example instead of going to the cinema we can stay at home and watch a movie and instead of coffee I prefer tea in the afternoon now the next phrase we have which means at the end of or by the end of and as an aside you'll find AAL a and a as alternative options for these phrases now mostly they're interchangeable with some exceptions and of course some orinal variations I chose to go with finales as the main phrase for today because it showed up in the data as the most frequent so for example at the end of the week we have an important meeting I have my Spanish exam at the end of the month exam next we have toos Los di which means everyday and I think this is probably the most well known from the list so for example I study Spanish every day the streets are full of people every day the next phrase is which can mean first firstly or first of all so first of all we must review the documents and before I go on vacation first I have to buy new clothes the next phrase isra which can mean on the other hand or alternatively or in addition so for example on the other hand we can also consider other options I don't like this idea but on the other hand I think we should give it a try now the next phrase is which can mean all my life the rest of one's life or lifelong so for example I have lived in this city all my life meet my lifelong friends or I'm introducing you to my lifelong friends so I've stopped this video at 25 phrases if you'd like me to do another video with the next 25 most common phrases that I found in my research please do you know all the things like the video share the video with a friend that's also learning Spanish and comment below that way I'll know if it's worth it to do another video on this
